Value Adding Project (VAP) is a Strategic Partnership under the programme Erasmus+ with partners in Norway, Denmark, Italy and UK. The project aims at strengthening the capacity of the stakeholders to take influential actions under the Erasmus+ programme.
The introduction of the new Erasmus+ Programme has not been an easy transition for NGO’s within the European Union. It is substantially more complicated and longer than the previous programmes and it requires a high level of background knowledge to be fully understood. Essential parts of this programme rely on the previously issued Europe 2020 Strategy that is a very sophisticated document by itself, but it has also references to other similarly intricate documents such as the ET 2020 or the Renewed Framework for European Cooperation in the Youth Field (2010-2018).
In this context, the partners have identified the need of user friendly materials for the Erasmus+ programme and co-related EU policies, as well as standards for the management of the donor-funded projects.
From December 2014 up to now, the partners have developed these user friendly materials and project management standards. These will be introduced in the proposed Training of Trainers (ToT).
The ToT aims at giving youth workers an understanding of various project management theories and VAP philosophy. Furthermore, the ToT will introduce the participants to the VAP project management standards, Erasmus+ programme and related EU policies.
